There is currently no way to pause/suspend a service, you can only delete it.
It's useful to pause a service while keeping the configuration and be able to restart that service later on, especially during the development and testing phases.

If keeping the container present for an unknown period of time still consumes some resources then either a time limit can be introduced or only the configuration would be stored that is mostly a bit of plain text data. The service itself would then be deleted with the configuration still present and restart would be more of creating a service from an existing configuration.
